Had software conflicts lastnight, keeping me from getting the strip posted. (Non-viral this time.) It's been fixed, but I won't be able to get the new strip in place 'til tomorrow.

*sigh* I may eventually have to dump ComicGenesis. It creates too many problems beyond my control.

I feel like I'm making lame excuses, but yes, technical difficulties... again.

Complete hard-drive crash - unsalvageable. Had to do a complete system re-install. Thankfully, all comic files were on a second hard-drive and escaped harm (knock on cyber-wood.) Between that, and then reinstalling software and regaining connection to the comic server... there was not enough time to draw the strip. Should be back on track for next week.

Usually Friday the 13th is a good day for me (it is my birthday after all), but I got bitten this time. ;)

*sigh* My computer got infected with some nasty malware/virus gunk, completely killing this week's drawing time. I believe it's all cleaned up now (thankfully!), so the strip should be back next week.

He's already a dedicated photographer who braves the early morning hours of Northern Canada winters, for that perfect winter sunrise shot.

Ugh! Having to get a second job and *gasp* shaved off my beard of fifteen years! I'll do everything I can to keep the strip going despite the new schedule. ;)

Now that Walker's back at home, his powers seem to be returning. Hard for Cody to think he's just a storytelling crazy guy now.

Babe points out some issues in the Cherokee legends of old. Was the Uktena really evil, or was he misunderstood and got a bad deal. ...much like the Frankenstein monster. They also had little place for women as heroes in their stories.

If you're the least bit interested... here is the Cherokee legend "The Daughter of the Sun" which tells how and why the Uktena was created.

I'll be at DragonCon this weekend! (Just wandering around, not as an artist.)

The li'l town of Asdudi

Cody's been getting the chance to visit Asdudi, the small town of other world refugees from Babe's side of the portal. (Asdudi is Cherokee for "closed door"... I think.)

I realize how odd his tour through the town's drycleaner must look, with the empty skin-like disguises laying about. A town full of animals in disguise will need someone to maintain all of those.
