Casual Friday

Let's get back to the story!  When last we saw Cody, he was sneaking out the window, and scrambling through the blackberry bushes to go see Brittany.

Updates are going to be fairly sporatic right now.  Things have become very busy with work and some side projects.  I'll keep the comic going of course, but I can't promise regular weekly updates at the moment.

See you back here soon!

Tryptophantasy

Been a busy month!

Elections, birthdays, a vacation cruise and... Thanksgiving just around the bend!

The year-end holiday season is under way!  Have a great time, everyone!

Election PSA

All kidding and annoying commercials aside, it is important.

Before I got my citizenship, it was one of the few things that I could NOT do.  I truly appreciate the fact that, even if in some small way, I now have a say in how the country is run.

Lick or Tweet!

Wouldn't it be cool if everyone got to dress up for Halloween?

Have a happy and safe Halloween, everyone!

Thorn in Her Side

Have you ever picked blackberries?  Very tasty, but very painful too.

It's worth it though... a few thorn pricks for some blackberry cobbler, or blackberries on ice cream...
Mmmmm....

Reasonable

I have a hard time seeing Babe as a mother figure.
A mentor?  I don't think she ever considered it like that.
At best, a bossy big sister who's always right.

Stranger Danger

Don't think I wanna know what Navarre's going to do with those...

Way to Go

That's a pretty heavy prize for whoever's been looking for those books!

What could someone do with that information?  All the known locations of access to another world?!

The hardest part of these last two strips was having to actually determine and locate where all of these portals are.  Thanks to Google Earth for making that part a bit easier!

Oh, and sorry for the updates being so sporadic lately.  Between extra hours at the day job, and helping my kid with homework in the evenings... I've found little time to draw.  A little time management restructuring, and things should be back on track.  ;)

Coordinated Effort

Darn... think I'd rather have a copy of that book.  It looks pretty cool!

A Little Off the Top

...and get his teeth fixed while you're there!

I'm sure Navaree's been called a dog before, but for...  other reasons.

Looking forward to watching the Olympics this year!  Have fun cheering on your favorite team, whether it's an official event or not.  ;)

Hats Off

Navarre looks pretty good with a trucker hat.

Lunch Atop a Sycamore

Yup, I took a short break too...

If this looks familiar, it's based on a famous photograph of construction workers in 1932.
"Lunch Atop a Skyscraper" c1932 by Charles C. Ebbets.

The squirrels (and I) will be off our break and back to the story next week!

About time Navarre worked his way back into the story.

The Book Stops Here

Babe wraps up her meeting with The Council.  Well... Sherman, the one member who could make it.

She looks pretty good in that Kryptonian robe.

For you young whippersnappers who don't recognize the council scene, check out "The Trial of General Zod" from "Superman II" (1980)

Show Me the Hunny

Yay, more filler art!

Looks like Christopher Robin left his iPad in the Hundred Acre Woods, and Pooh figured out his Netflix app.

Still behind enough on my writing that I wasn't able to get the strip done in time.  Should be a double sized one next week!

Pooh and Piglet are of course, property of Disney.  I hope they don't mind me having a little fun with them.  :)

Super Sulker

Getting over a bug, so ran a bit late this week.

I kinda like how Cody is just sitting back and letting the big folks work it out.

Carl looks like he needs to go pick on somebody...  Watch out, Cody!

Burnin' Love

I've found that drawing your characters dancing... is pretty fun.

Especially that happy dance you do when you don't care if anyone's watching.

The Goldilocks Campaign

The gods of productivity conspired against me this week, so it's filler time again.

If a bear rolls initiative in the woods, does anyone get a bonus to their THACO?

(Bonus points for you if you get these old school Dungeons & Dragons references!)

See you next week!

What would Tommy Two-Tails do?

A little childhood hero worship never hurt.

Squatch Out

Yay! Filler art! Woohoo!

Yup, behind again, so you get my view on SciFi's show "Finding Bigfoot".
Those guys will rationalize anything they find, into showing that
"there's definitely a squatch in this area".

I may roll my eyes while watching it, but it's still entertaining.

Bears and the Bees

Spring has sprung! The weather's getting warmer and I haven't drawn Babe in awhile, so you get this cute spring picture instead of the comic strip this week. :)
(No, they're not her cubs. Lol)

We'll be back on track with the story next week!

A Show of Hands

But he insisted that it wasn't a hand-bag...
Groan... yeah, you can smack me for that one.

I wonder how many of those "artifacts" were just made by Walker while he was sittin' around his cave, waiting for his brother to recover...?

Guess they'd still be authentic... to a degree.

So much for simply swapping out some books for Walker.

You've got a new title now, Cody. And an assistant as well!

Carl refuses to explain his "Rolling OHKO's" (One Hit Knock Out)
technique for Poke'mon. Says he'll only demonstrate it, and there'd
better be something good at stake on the table...

Psycho Rabble

Welcome to the King Family Library in Sevierville, Tennessee!
(Yes, it's an actual place.)

Libraries are great! Love 'em!
But... being true public places, they often allow some odd
groups to use the meeting rooms.
Back-to-back pop self-help psychiatry and Pokemon? Ayup!
